Juniper’s Restaurant Story

The Appetizing Origins of Juniper’s

Tyler Shipton is the Executive Chef and owner of Juniper’s Restaurant. His culinary journey has placed him in some of the country’s most prominent restaurants. In 2012, he decided to embark on his own journey and was one of the opening Chefs and owners of Minneapolis’ Borough. In 2015, he moved to the west coast, with a desire to explore the food scene. After spending several years as an Executive Chef of various top restaurants along the coast in San Diego, the pandemic forced Chef Tyler and fiancé Ame back to the farm he grew up on, and together, the duo founded Juniper’s.

The beers on tap are craft and the cocktails are unique; the prickly pear marg was delicious. Kind of, Cafe style dining where you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The servers were awesome and friendly and let's not forget the view of the river! "Great atmosphere and love that they're right alongside the river. You're able to look at the river as you are eating. They're even using fresh produce from a local grower that delivers every week so that all their vegetables are nice and fresh. Best place to eat at in Lanesboro."
